Class DESCRIPTIONS:

Basics: For beginning yoga students and students with injury, or those who prefer to move slowly and gently. Class will progress sequentially from week to week. Focus is to safely learn the basic postures and to begin breath awareness and meditation.

Level 1: Beginners and students new to Anusara Yoga. Basic alignment principles and Tantric philosophy. Learn to link breath and movement with simple postures and sequences in a safe and light-hearted atmosphere. Expert instruction and personal attention.

Level 1/2: Advanced beginners and intermediate students. Learn new postures, including backbends and inversions, with fun variations. Detailed alignment instructions and helpful hands-on adjustments.

Level 2: Strong and intermediate students. Deepen, refine and strengthen your yoga practice. Longer meditation, playfully serious practice with backbend and inversion variations, introduction to arm balances and pranayama. Full expression of the beauty in each pose. Precision and grace in motion.

Level 2/3: A spirited practice with creative sequences meant to inspire and challenge us to go beyond our perceived limits. Participants should be injury free and must be able to perform handstand at wall and push up into full wheel with straight arms.
